“ After walking for an hour we stumbled upon this incredibly cozy restaurant. The waitstaff was really nice and patient with us. The food was fantastic, the same goes for the wine. The live music was the best part of our evening! We will come back the next time we are in Paris and also recommend this place to our friends. ”
“ Amazing place. The atmosphere is excellent; the food is 10 of 10, and the music makes the place unique. Service was super nice and very kind. ”
“ The restaurant was good for the price and location (25 euros menu near the Luxembourg gardens, etc.), It's not exceptional though. I would recommend the beef there with potatoes, the salmon seemed to be overcooked. For the starters: tomatoe and mozzarella was good (not Buffalo), the avocado was not so great but okay (would not recommend). The dessert unfortunately was a disaster... We asked for chocolate mousse but got something else that wasn't so good. But it might have been because there were so many people (we were more than 10), it's a shame because the mousse looked good on Google photos, the other desserts were okay. The tea was good (Kusmi tea) and the service was okay for the price. All in all I would recommend this restaurant if you are on a tight budget but still want to have some French food in a very popular area. ”
“ We tried the foie gras, the sea bass, and a couple of desserts which were all delicious. The suggested wine went perfectly with our meal. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you we had a lovely experience. ”
“ It was all great. Piano music, food, service. Price super fair by the way . Definitely recommend it. ”
“ A great neighborhood gem. We had dinner here on a Sunday night and it was not crowded at all. The bartender and waitress were incredibly nice and helpful in seating us and helping with wine selection. Gaspar played a wonderful set of songs on the piano. Although we were pretty close to him, the sound was not too loud and we can still have a conversation. Finally, and most importantly, the food was delicious. I had the canard and my wife had the salmon. They were both great. ”
“ I walked in at 19:30 on a Saturday evening without a reservation. They let me know they were fully booked by 20:30 but could accommodate me if I took a reasonable amount of time. I told them I didn't want to rush. They said they understood. We communicated well and agreed to give it a chance. It's a classy, rustic interior, as you can tell, with velvet red divan seats lining the wall. It has an old school meets modern sort of charm. The black and white photos lining the wall work well with the red and brown interior. Downstairs is a space/bar you can rent for private parties /concerts. The evening I came, dinner was going to be accompanied later by a live pianist I had the classic duck confit with potatoes roasted in the duck grease . Who's living like a doctor? The potatoes were perfect: moist yet not too soft. The duck too was moist and, surprisingly for the skin, worked well! Hidden under the duck, mixed with the potatoes were tiny chopped mushrooms that added character and texture to the whole experience. I came in and meant business, to eat and not linger. Overall, a great experience: I was fed well, given courtesy I don't take for granted. I ended things with a glass of Champagne at the comptoir/bar by the entrance. As I hung out around there, I got to catch the team interacting with each other and being goofy : they're a fun bunch. We chatted a bit. By the time I got warmed up and comfortable, the piano player started serenading the whole place with her sweet voice. Shout out to Antoine and Alexandre at the bar! The marble heads lined at the top are from famous people that used to play music here back in the day . ”
